Renault Laguna radio code: unlock guide per generation

Find the PRE-code
The Renault Laguna radio code is calculated from the PRE-code (1 letter and 3 digits).
Via the display
- Switch on the ignition; the display shows
CODE. - Press and hold preset buttons 1 and 5 (Laguna I) or 1 and 6 (Laguna II/III).
- Note the PRE-code shown.
Via the radio label
If the display method fails — common on Carminat units — remove the radio with extraction keys and read the PRE-code or serial number from the label.

- Go to the Renault page and enter the PRE-code.

Carminat units often do not show the PRE-code on screen. Remove the unit and use the serial number from the label to retrieve the code.

Yes, the Laguna Estate (Grandtour) uses the same radio systems as the saloon. The method is identical.
What does ERR mean on my Laguna display?
An incorrect code was entered too many times. Leave the ignition on for 30 minutes to reset, then re-enter the correct code.
