Renault Trafic radio code: unlock your van radio
The Renault Trafic is one of Europe's most popular medium vans, widely used by businesses. Its radio locks after any power interruption and shows CODE. This guide explains how to retrieve the Renault Trafic radio code.
Which Trafic do you have?
- Trafic II (2001-2014) — Tuner List or Update List radio
- Trafic III (2014-present) — Media Nav or R & Go
Note: the Trafic II was also sold as the Vauxhall/Opel Vivaro and Nissan Primastar, but the Renault-branded radio uses the Renault PRE-code system.
Find the PRE-code
The Renault Trafic radio code is derived from the PRE-code (1 letter and 3 digits).
Via the display
- Switch on the ignition; the display shows
CODE. - Press and hold preset buttons 1 and 6 together (on early units try 1 and 5).
- Note the PRE-code shown.
Via the radio label
Remove the radio with extraction keys and read the PRE-code from the sticker. On many vans this is the most reliable method.
Retrieve and enter the code
- Go to the Renault page and enter the PRE-code.
- Receive your four-digit code instantly.
- Set each digit with preset buttons 1 to 4 and hold button 6 to confirm.
Frequently asked questions
